Their longest lasting model was the Model 44 target rifle which would later would be known as the Omark Model 44 and would be produced by MAB Engineering when Sportco would close its doors. Sportco was sold to Omark Industries and shut its doors in the early 1980s. Early model with the serial number DG008 but its overall condition was good as can be seen from the pictures above. The rifle evolved from the need for Australian target shooters to have something better than the traditional converted Lee Enfield's and also to take advantage of the 7.62x51 NATO round that was then entering into service at the time.

The rifle has been reliably shot out to 600 yards without any dramas however the barrel could definitely use a good clean. Also, the scope was one I picked up on Gumtree so I have stuck it on this just to sell as a package so it will need to be zeroed in and as such is all sold as is. Also, has an f-class rail on the underneath ready for attaching an f-class bipod.
Also comes with another OMARK stock that is in better condition I just never got around to fitting it.
